Gomez suffering from knee injury

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat told the "Shield's Gazette" midfielder Jordi Gomez is still suffering from a fractured kneecap suffered at the end of last season: "Gomez is going the right way, but he’s not working with us. He’s still working separately with the physio."
